July 2020
Most days are usually fraught with focused intention. Consequently much of the time my head is down seemingly as if I were wearing blinders. But every once in a while I look around only to be reminded of how fortunate I am to be here. Over the years I’ve come to appreciate the serenity and uniqueness of this community. And it is during these moments throughout the year, that I take these snap shops.
My collection is ever growing and I thought it would be nice to give back and share these moments with you. Thank you for the opportunity. Enjoy.

Meg is thrilled to have her first PLP exhibit. After studying art at Pratt Institute, she pursued a business career. During those years she continued developing her artistic talents at the PA Academy of Fine Art, concentrating in portraiture. In this collection, she draws you into the world and experiences of her subjects. Her current challenge is painting people close to her, capturing their likeness and essence. megknysh@gmail.com 215.260.8238 Bell Camp
If you've always wondered how to capture great photographs and do things such as slow down the stream or get long distance animal shots, Richard's slides include these tips. rbstephns@gmail.com
John Gerbner’s pencil drawings and etchings which inspire us to consider natural elements as they occur as well as their use in structures…rocks, in the ground and as material for PLP camp chimneys…trees, and the wood structures they become. See what beauty a lowly pencil can produce! jgerbner@ewingcole.com
Craig’s captivating acrylic paintings reflect a lifelong love of drawing and painting. Entering his world of mostly Pocono-inspired scenes you'll see his mastery of contrasts and the unexpected: warm and cool greens against pink roads, light, patterns, and shapes. He has shared his talents with the community generously teaching drawing in the Arts Center, as well as many years lettering the trail signs that keep us all from getting lost in the woods.
Bella Christian has been exhibiting since 2015, when at age 15 she captivated the community with her pen and ink drawings of PLP vignettes. Her art has always reflected her love of PLP. This exhibit, primarily gouache paintings, shows both the deepening of her talents and her appreciation of PLP's wonders. At once haunting and whimsical, her works merge the stability and wonder of nature with this strange unique time. 203.895.4925 bellachristian3@gmail.com

Garrison Wilkes’ exhibit of furniture hand crafted from PLP wood is a tour de force of artistic design, superb craftsmanship, as well as a walk down the history of wood at PLP. The cherry wood originated as cut boards from the old sawmill 50 years ago, and the pine and walnut were lumbered by Forrest Miller. Garrison is one of the multi-talented Gibby-Wilkes clan of artists. This is his first PLP exhibit. garrisonwilkes@gmail.com
Growing up at PLP on the tennis courts, Force, and Activities leader, Jeff merged his artistic talents with his intense interest in American History. An educator by profession, after taking up watercolor in the last decade, he captures PLP's off season glory, often-overlooked scenes, and close-up sights. He is still merging art and history, with paintings drawn from historical travel tours he has been leading recently. 240.527.5391 jeffdriscoll1944@yahoo.com
I am an artist who enjoys working in many media. I am particularly passionate about watercolors, ceramics, and knitting. I am attracted to the natural world and portraits. With ceramics, I often draw inspiration from ancient pottery.
I studied fine arts and art history in college and completed my Master's degree in art history and museum studies. I have been a museum curator for 38 years.
The tiles are made of terracotta clay, with majolica pigments hand painted over the glaze and then low fired.
